In my previous post, I mentioned that I wanted to utilise the free site migration service offered by Siteground. However, due to the limitations of Blogger, I was not able to do a website transfer from Blogger due do the fact that Blogger does not provide FTP/MySQL access. Instead, I had to perform a manual site transfer from https://personalportfoliopp.blogspot.com to https://everydayinvestinginyou.com.

Step 4: Re-direct Traffic from Blogger to WordPress without plug in
The simplest method would be to utilise the WordPress plug-in for Blogger to WordPress. However, like myself, not all of us are on WordPress Business plan and above. Hence, we do not have access to all the plug-ins.
The next best thing that we can do is to re-direct my blogger to WordPress by editing my Blogger’s HTML.
Go to Blogger –> Theme –> Edit HTML
Look for: <b:include data=’blog’ name=’all-head-content’/>
Add this line under the line above:
<meta content=’0;url=https://everydayinvestinginyou.com/’ http-equiv=’refresh’/>
Replace https://everydayinvestinginyou.com/ with your website
Do remember to disable mobile theme on Blogger so that your visitors on mobiles will be re-directed as well.
Alternatively, WordPress provides a service that is able to fulfill your Blogger to WordPress migration needs if you prefer some help from the friendly people at WordPress.
